We built Grocio for ourselves first!
We have young and growing families here at Grocio and we needed a way to tame our grocery bills without a lot of rigid systems. We also knew a good deal about running web sites people liked using. It just made sense to put our talents against a need shared by many and help families save more of their hard earned cash.
Prices are straight from the grocers!
We're often asked, “How accurate are your prices.” The answer is a simple... As accurate as the grocers’ shelves. That's because the prices come direct from the grocers. We have great partners and we've learned a lot from them about moving pricing files around, keeping them secure while providing this nifty grocery comparison shopping service we call Grocio.
If it’s FREE... How does Grocio make money?
Ah... the second most asked question. Simple, we make money everytime we match a coupon to your shopping list. The manufacturers pay us. Now, it would be silly for us to pile a bunch of coupons on you that you'd never use. But, when we match them to your shopping list over and over again... Now we're talking useful stuff! The sort of thing you’ll come back for time and again and tell your friends and family about.

We’re big on keeping things simple, above board and most of all a pleasure to use. The best thing we can do is to compare like items to like items from store to store. Face it... you want what you want. If that's a certain brand of a certain something it's not our place to peddle substitutes.
